Grief, Loss & Bereavement

Forest

Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something significant in life, encompassing a range of emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, and confusion. Bereavement is the period of mourning and adjustment following a loss.

Grief and loss may cause emotional upheaval, numbness, sleep disturbances, and loss of interest in daily activities. Individuals may also experience a lack of direction or a sense of emptiness as they cope with the changes brought by loss. As a previous volunteer for Cruse Bereavement services I witnessed the range of emotions, challenges and experiences brought about through loss, and  I feel passionate about helping people through these times.

How hypnotherapy, NLP, and EFT can help:

  • Hypnotherapy supports the grief process by guiding individuals toward acceptance, self-compassion, and closure. It also offers a safe space for processing emotions associated with loss.

  • NLP assists by reframing negative thought patterns that may arise during grieving, helping individuals find positive anchors and reconnect with inner strengths.

  • EFT is effective in releasing the emotional pain and physical tension that often accompany grief, providing gentle relief and a sense of comfort during the healing process.
